Check in to FernAcres BnB at 3pm for refreshments and relaxation, introduction to ancient Hawaiian games. Dinner at 7.00pm.



Breakfast will be served from 7.00am-9.00am. Drive to location

10:00am Kumu will be starting your Hawaiian spiritual energy journey with a traditional water blessing and cleansing at the beach. Everyone will make a traditional ho’okupu (offering) which we will use in the cleansing and releasing ceremony. Lunch will be in a beautiful forest by the ocean. Next you’ll learn how to make a Hawaiian conch used by the ancient Hawaiians which is a makana (gift) to take home. Then its off to sit in hot springs heated by lava and natural hot steam room generated from cracks in the ground. Home by 6.00pm Dinner at 7.00pm


Day#3 FIRE

Breakfast will be served from 7.00am-9.00am. Drive to location

10.00am Kumu will take you to one of Hawaii’s most sacred areas where you’ll perform a traditional spiritual Hawaiian ceremony. You’ll feel the strong energy and “mana” (spiritual power) cleansing and healing. Next up to the Kilauea volcano national park where you’ll have lunch. Kumu will teach you a hula and tell the stories of her ancestors, culture, gods and goddesses then you’ll go to the creators edge and perform a traditional ceremony and present offerings to Pele ( Volcano goddess) . Home by 6.00pm Dinner at 7.00pm



Breakfast will be served from 7.00am- 9.00am Drive to location

10.00am Kumu will lead you up the largest active volcano in the world where you’ll have lunch, visit a lava tube all while taking in the breath taking views. You’ll learn how to make a lei while Kumu shares stories of the sacred powerful healing attributes in the area. A ceremony will be performed with sound healing, chants, and offerings. Home by 6.00pm Dinner at 7.00pm



Breakfast will be served from 7.00am-9.00am Drive to location.

11.00am Valley of the Kings, you’ll be taken down into the valley in the back of a 4x4 truck, driving down to the ocean and mile long black sand beach, where Kumu will take you to one of the most sacred ancient Hawaiian temple sites. Kumu will teach you about the history of the valley and the sacred alters purpose and meaning. You’ll see hidden twin waterfalls over 1000’ feet high, ancient ruins, and also the sacred Hawaiian Pyramid.

Home by 6.00pm Dinner at 7.00pm



Breakfast 7-9am, Explore the island, or book an activity. live music and hula dance 5-8pm dinner at 7pm

Is there lots of walking? Is the terrain rough?

No, The longest walk is 3/4 of a mile on a black sand beach one way. There is a stream to cross weather permitting. You will be stopping to acclimate during the Mauna Loa journey. Good for all age groups and levels of fitness.

How do i get around?

We are one of the only retreats that will pick you up and drop you off to the airport and chauffeur you around to the daily journeys while staying at Fern Acres BnB. Please rent a car for your last day if you wish to explore the island or get around.
